I'm sure jtd508110 meant return to service. It hasn't as far as I know - I checked the lines around Birkenhead North depot in recent days with no sign.
507009 is correct, I heared on here and another forum that the date that we would see it out was 8th July
507002 is still quite happily sitting on 3-Road at Birkenhead North TMD, listed for commissioning work.
It is also listed as Not for Service for the remainder of the week, i.e. won't be back in service before 16/07/2012.
Thank you for info, how about 012?
The services on the South Wirral section of the Wirral line are just about recovering from an incident that happened in the Bebington area just after 1805 which caused the traction current to be switched off for about 40 minutes this evening. The traction current was switched off from Green Lane to Port Sunlight.

That's still up at Kilmarnock. Normally a C3 overhaul takes about 6 to 8 weeks, but at Barclays it may take longer, but nevertheless it should be back by the middle of August
I overheard a Phil Sayer announcement at manor road today, is this a new thing now?
This is the new recorded announcements , on the Wirral Line , the stations on the West Kirby line where the first to be introduced to this style PA announcement .
What will they be saying? Is it just security announcements or is is service announcements "the next train to depart from platform 1 is the xx:xx merseyrail service to xxxxxxxx calling at ...?"
Its got to be rolled to all the stations first then there will probably be a chance in how the announcing of trains is made system wide .
Until then you will have a mix of recorded and live announcements .
Once the system goes live though only time you will hear a real voice is when services are disrupted .
