Reported on Rail UK Forums that 777041 has been named Sir Samuel Cunard.
Excellent news regarding 507 preservation: the Crowdfunder set up to raise funds for 507001's potential road move has reached its £10,000 target in less than four weeks, which should secure the first built and first in service 507 unit a place in preservation. The 507 Preservation Society have done a first-rate job of raising awareness, with plenty of publicity in the papers and a couple of television appearances which has led to a surge in donations over the last week or so, including many non-train buffs if the comments are to be believed!

Now to get 001 repaired and back in service. Both it and 018 have reportedly sustained damage in the West Kirby derailment.
There was an article in yesterday’s Metro online that someone had bought 507001 for a nominal £1 with a view of it going to the Tanat Valley railway, about which I posted last year.
As you said, the £10,000 is for the transportation costs

A £1 transaction like that effectively means it's been given away but some form of financial transaction is needed to confirm a legal sale.
The last 777 to arrive in the UK is 777035 which was brought through the Channel Tunnel with Tyne & wear trains 555021 and 555002. 777035 is now at Walton Old Junction Sidings awaiting movement to Kirkdale.

Any idea when 777033/047 came over please?
I’ve heard that two 777s are moving to Kirkdale on Wednesday night, leaving just two in Poland to be moved

All 777s are in the UK now would leave just the one to be delivered to Merseyside.
777033/047 have been brought up to Kirkdale this evening TnT by 4 HST power cars. Unless anyone has any further info, that leaves 777035/053 to come.
Nine 507s are still in service, their use being extended to December, I believe.

Will all 9 507s remain until December?

Any news on 8 car 777 running on the Southport line, I know there is one running of a weekday on the Ormskirk line?
