Is there a date yet for 507002 re-entering service? last i heard it could be going into an allover advertising livery for a university.
508111 is back in service still in full beatles livery i had it on ormskirks this morning running as a 6 car with 507014 very squeaky brakes.
I wonder which one out of 507012 or 507002 will return first?

Surely there shouldn't be anything stopping 507012 entering service straight away - it's had its coded overhaul in Kilmarnock. I can't see the point of sending it up there for a C3/C4 and still not be ready for service.

Only had a partial overhaul.

Lot of parts just aren't easily available at the moment, which is why Birkenhead North is sometimes falling behind on maintenance. Kilmarnock can't get them any quicker!

So if North has to finish the job off, why didn't they do all of it - it certainly hasn't saved time which is why it went up there in the first place
Saw 507002 inside Birkenhead North today through the glass - it's had its livery removed and white primer is visible along with the corroded sections repaired at Doncaster. I assume the rumour is now a reality, and 507002 will be the second Merseyrail advertiser.

In its Beatles Story livery, 508111 was amongst those carrying the masses to the Southport Air Show today in company with 508128.

Well it was easily noticeable from a passing New Brighton/West Kirby line train. You did mention earlier that 507002 was to receive an advertising livery and there was a set in the same place as 507002 was last week on Saturday in white base coat. Put two and two together, and...
