That's my opinion, but I much prefer the 507's, don't know why, maybe its them Damn noisy compressors the 508's have, and 2 of them Big Grin
I've done mine below. Agree on preferring the 507s - they're Liverpool natives, designed for the Northern Line, lived their whole lives in the city. They generally seem to ride better too, and their compressors sound much less intense than the 508s.

Best 507s:
1) 507006
2) 507001
3) 507009

Worst 507s:
1) 507030
2) 507020
3) 507011

Best 508s:
1) 508115
2) 508127
3) 508138

Worst 508s:
1) 508114
2) 508123
3) 508103
I would agree with your list on fav 507's, but three are some units with little things I like, such as 507010 having bogies that sound like mk3's Smile 006 is also a good unit, I wonder what 002 will be like when it returns?
Bob Paisley (507004) showed up again on West Kirby 6 car this evening with 507030, I believe the livery for 002 is the same livery as used on some arriva busses that advertise the same establishment
Popped over that side to have a quick look at the depot today, and sure enough, 507002's livery looks awfully similar to the Hope Uni advertising buses. Still think it will look nice in the flesh though.

Another excellent 507 for me is 025. This one offered a near perfect ride to Southport tonight, free from jerking and with nice acceleration.

The latest news I've heard about 002 is it will be in service on the 25th (September, that is!)
I wonder why it keeps on getting pushed back a day? 025 is a good ride, but looks dreadful and needs a complete overhaul of its vynals and interior.

I also like 033 for some reason, even though it has dreadfully sticky doors, I have had some good journeys on my daily commute to the wirral.
Out of interest, does anyone know why the entire West Kirby line is shut today? I know it is engineering works, but its usually only ever Bhead North - Central that's closed or W Kirby - Bhead north??
Anyone know what happened on the northern line last night? I heard there was a failed train at kirkdale but there was also a power shutdown at sandhills and a replacement bus service laid on to hunts cross anyone know why and which unit was the failure at kirkdale? thanks.

There was a large crowd outside Moorfields during the early evening with the staff apparently clueless as to what was going on. A quick request for how to easily get back to Southport was met with, "Is that on the Wirral Line?" I kid you not.

Not sure exactly what happened or the units involved, but it was a mess for several hours into the night. 3 car trains on the Southport line hardly helped matters either - it was a nice day and a lot of people were out. Two years in a row now they've started the summer pairs late and cut them early.

Had 507024 and 508134 yesterday, the former absolutely superb in all departments and the latter suffering from a terrible vibration which affected the whole carriage. It was sluggish as well.
