507011's relivery appears to be complete, while another unit is being worked on inside Birkenhead North depot. This unit has had around 2/3 of one car completed, while the rest is the base layer. Assume the unit is 508134.
Is 507011 out in service yet? From memory, 508134 was in good condition. Why they done of one of the units in the best condition whilst trampy units such as 508110, 508112, 507017 are still out is beyond me.
507011 was still in the shed JTD, in the same lane as what I assume to be 508134, closest to the glass. You're right, 134 was actually very clean, but it does make sense to re-livery the units receiving overhaul to speed up the process.
Thanks 009. I suppose all of them are getting done at some stage in the near future. It will look strange when they run in 6 car formations with the old liveried units!
The whole first coach of "508134" appears to be done now. The livery should be launched at some point this week from what I read on Twitter.

507018 and 508120 are the two additional Hooton line three cars, and a real treat on the West Kirby PM six car: advertisers 507002 and 508111.
First time ive seen them together in person.
What you might find is that refreshed units will not be able to operate with unfreshed units , much was the case when the refurbished units first came out they would either have to be on a single unit diagram or on a diagram that had another refurbished unit.
AFAIK, 011 and 134 are only receiving a wrapped livery. The internal refresh work is later in the year?

Probably quite unlikely, unless there is a major modification to the PIS equipment or passenger door controls are fitted. When the refurbished units first came out, it was rare to see a six car formation in service with an unrefurbished set, but it did happen from time to time. The drawback IIRC was no working PIS in the refurbished unit. Even then, it wasn't impossible.

Went past the depot again just before, and they are now working on the trailer car of what is probably 508134. My first impressions, albeit behind the depot's frosted glass, are positive. It looks a great deal more colourful than its predecessor, and appears to have Liverpool's skyline in a black pattern across the lower bodyside. It would be a lovely touch if this was the case.

508134 is still on overhaul, think the reliveried unit is 507017
