My train the 16:20 formed of 507009 could still get in at the top end due to it being a 3 car but the next service at 16:35 couldn't as it was a 6 car and was turned back at Town Green. Wonder how long it took to get 508131 moved?

Took about an hour to get it moved back to Kirkdale depot
Oh and then that wasn't the end of it , there was problems with another unit around Kirkdale as well , which made the services on the Northern line real hard going .

The unit was the 1558 KBY - Liverpool Central.

Thanks for that. Heard a unit go through Maghull shortly after sounding its horn so presumed it to be 508131 returning to the depot.
508131 was straight back in service this morning on one of the Ormskirk AM six cars.
A dodgy time for the Wirral line, a failed train at Lime St yesterday evening, a separate breakdown between Hamilton Sq and James St around the same time. Then a trespass incident at Eastham Rake caused early morning cancellations / delays earlier today, and currently a broken down train at Grove Road suspending the New Brighton line

It wasn't a failed train at Lime St last night,it was an inspection of the track after a bang was heard between Moorfields and Lime St and then a train that was turning back on the river bed because of the above had to be assisted by another.507033 is/was the failure on the New Brighton line.
Most train companies will have weeks where if it can go wrong it will go wrong.

Do remember the age of these units at nearly 40 years of age , even though most components on them are a lot younger than that.
Accident involving a train and car on a level crossing in the Hillside area last night. It appears for whatever reason the car was on the wrong side of the road and was hit by an oncoming train. Hope all involved are ok wonder which unit was involved?

508140 involved,no injuries to passengers, traincrew or car driver who drove onto the crossing at Crescent Road and became "confused" and turned left onto the rail line. They weren't in the car when the train hit so they were uninjured too.
