Driver only operated

I rode on 507012 on ormskirks today. They've done a great job. Top unit!
forgot to mention in my last post that formby train station is currently getting refurbished, this includes new windows, repainting the walls, the stairwell floors deepcleaned, new LED lights above the stairs, the old newsagents being knocked down, new automatic entrance doors and roller shutters. i managed to get some pics as well of the refurbishment and 507006 has been fitted with the aircon system.
One of the first stations to test LED lighting on the stations was Spital . They used the place as a benchmark to see what the difference in consumption was between normal lights and LED lights.
508134 is on the blocks at Rock Ferry, out of service until after Christmas, along with another unit I can't recall.

Both will be stabled at Rock Ferry Platform 4 in a 6-car formation.

This is due to the units being required to run private charter services.
i rode 508122 and 508131 today on the southport line, both were fitted with cab air con. and for the private christmas charters with 508134 i think it should be a smart looking unit like 507002/008/019/033 and 508111, last year it was 507008 and 507025
Polar Express I believe is the charter we're referring to.

All services should be formed of 6 cars tomorrow as per the traditional Christmas Sunday schedule. Unless we've been made to suffer more cut backs!

Have to agree on 012 too - two rides on that today, on the Ormskirk line again. Absolutely superb both times. 508128 is also back in service fresh from overhaul.
have new M's been applied to the damaged spots on 508128

No, it still looks tatty on one side with plenty of 'M's gone. However, 507028 seems to have had its 'M's replaced instead
2 units which I think needs doing up externally and inside are 507006 and 508108. Both good runners, but look poor.

I had to make a late night journey this evening and witnessed some terrible scenes. Someone being sick on 508112 and someone "playing tick" whilst very drunk and nearly falling off the platform edge whilst 508138 approached at a pace... Something needs to be done to tackle this behavior and it should be done either on the platform or on the barriers of underground stations. It is making staff morale low and a misery, particularly in wake of recent events...

On the Wirral Line I take it?

I don't think 507006 looks that bad to be honest, I've seen a lot worse externally, 508108 being one. Others such as 507010, 507011, 508104, 508110, 508124 and 508136 are pretty dire as well.
