It was the 1651 HX - SP six car that failed short of the platform at Sandhills .

Units 508136 and 508115
New liveried 507031 and 508122 are running as a 6 car this morning on the Ormskirk line first time ive seen two of the new liveried units together.
A couple of six cars were provided on the Northern Line this afternoon, with 507030 and 508110 replacing 507003 on the 15.58 Southport - Hunts Cross and 17.06 return, while 507016 was added to 507026 for the 17.10 Liverpool Central - Ormskirk and the subsequent 18.25 working.

These formations were actually showing as such on the new boards at Central with the usual 'please use the full length of the platform' message. Still, ALL carriage lengths need to be shown on the boards as a matter of priority.

The latest re-liveried unit, 508128, was present at Kirkdale depot this afternoon, while another inside Birkenhead North depot looks virtually completed. Can anyone advise which set this is, please? The only units I haven't seen over the last couple of days are 507019, 507023 and 508108.
Don't think its 507019 as that was on West Kirby 6 car last night with 508122. I haven't seen 507023 myself, although the one in the shed doesn't appear to have a nameplate. I hope it is 508108. That unit was in dire need of both an overhaul and internal and external work.

The 6 cars seemed to go down well today. Lets hope it is something that sticks around...
I agree on 508108, a very poor unit that needs a spruce up. Two other units I can't believe have escaped the re-vinyling process so far are 507010 and 508112.

It will be interesting to see what happens to the 507004/009/020/021 names: will they finally get physical nameplates?
According to realtime trains, a freight train/unit is due to travel from Edge Hill Gullet Sidings to Ainsdale during the early hours of tomorrow arriving at Ainsdale at 00:30 and Departing Seaforth and Litherland at 07:00 going back to Edge Hill. Could this possibly be the Loram Rail Grinder?

Also noticed that several signals have been replaced with LED Style types at various underground locations and on the approach to Hooton from Ellesmere Port (Distant Signal).
508128 has been the only unit on Birkenhead North for vinyl this week, although 507023 has also been there all week for repairs/mods. Now that 508128 has been finished, the next one will take its place. It's possible the one seen there was one of the already completed ones that was there for maintenance

All signals on the underground section are gradually being replaced.
Signal failure at Hightown this afternoon / late evening. ML92 is the signal involved, their is a whiteboard with information written on for driver's and a temporary speed restriction in place. Service's are running aproximately 5 minutes late to Liverpool and Hunts Cross.
508139 is the next revinylled unit
