004 was on the Ormskirk line today before working the 17.13 Central - Southport, so get it while you can!

I rode 004 yesterday morning on the Ormskirk line but sadly didt have my camera. Have any further units been in for interior refurbishment yet as the only one ive seen is the previously mentioned 507029? Thanks.

So far it's only 507029 I've seen in service, MX12. Based on recent sightings, I believe 507018 is the next recipient and it should be nearly completed.
Hamilton Square station has now reopened after its long closure for refurbishment .

Only Moorfields left now .
The last surviving unit in 2003 livery, 508104, was outside Birkenhead North depot today following its overhaul. Its seats are still removed, so we can safely say it won't be going back in use before re-livery which should take place next week. Nice to see the old livery one final time though, complete with a well outdated Liverpool 08 logo!

507018 is now back in service as the second recipient of an interior refresh. Merseyrail's Twitter suggested the third unit would go into traffic from this coming Monday, which may be 507009 based on recent sightings.
Merseyrail Chester services messed up this evening. I arrived in time for the 6.30pm from Chester to find several hundred people on 7b. Just on 6.30pm a 6 car set arrived but went to 7a, offloaded passengers and then departed ecs.The driver did apologise as he passed back out through 7b. Apparently some of the passengers had been waiting since about 5pm.

No info provided by Merseyrail, but a police officer came over to say RR buses had been despatched but were stuck in traffic. Eventually the 7pm service showed up and departed at 7.10pm absolutely packed. The guard apologised for the 10 minute delay in service - much to the ironic amusement of many passengers.
507018 is on the Ormskirk line this morning sporting its very smart refurbished interior its running as a 6 car with 508134. 018 was also on Ormskirks yesterday evening on its own as a 3 car. 507018 has though unfortunatley suffered a graffiti attack on one of the driving cars.

Don't forget at Chester , its Arriva Trains Wales that make announcements .

The front unit that came in on the service that went into Platform 7a was the failed unit and the rear was the assisting unit . Anytime a Merseyrail unit goes up to Platform 7a you know its not going to be in service.

5pm is never the best time for anything to go wrong .
Interesting video here of Stewart Signs managing the Merseyrail re-livery programme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FLW4jZxP740.

I saw the other day that the equipment from the re-livery lane has been removed following completion of final recipient 508104. All we need now is another advertising livery for some extra variety - it seems surprising there haven't been any more of these.

Just had a watch of the video and very interesting it is too. 507002 and 507017 are one of the 6 car sets working the Ormskirk line today i caught it at Maghull at 06:32.
Near miss for merseyrail today, signalling problems at Sandhills have been causing disruption this morning, looks like it's just clearing up before the Aintree crowds set in
