The testing of 777003 (and possibly 777004 now), does the testing now involve driver training or is this still yet to be commenced/agreed with the unions?
I guess the driver training would have to take place overnight or in the evening if a 15 minute service (usually) runs during the day?
To be honest would you want to put the 777 in test between the 507/8 working timetable plan.
If one was to fail for any reason in front of each other , this would be an operational headache as only a unit of the same type could retrieve itself within a decent timeframe .

When does driver training usually take place, for trainee drivers of the current fleet-is this done overnight?
With the ongoing incident looks like 6X29 will stay at Crewe tonight Or potentially be diverted via South Parkway.

That is done during the day while in service , but its too early in the testing program for the 777 to be in use during the service pattern .
Its a failure in service with different unit type following that is to be avoided , even with an emergency coupler its not going to be a quick removal .

The X in the head code means Network Rail have to be sure the set is gauged for any other route than the route it is booked for .
Might still run, I saw the 66 running through Thatto Heath going to Crewe to collect it about half an hour ago

Will just be a positioning move for when it gets the go ahead. It definitely looks like its staying at Crewe tonight.
