Services on the Southport line subject to severe signalling difficulties between Formby and Southport .

Not something you want when people are trying to get home from work or away from the beaches of the Coast.
Services on the Southport line still suffering severe delays , some trains have started from Formby back to Liverpool , some trains have also started from Southport but running with considerable delay.
Southport services now running every 30 mins until fault is rectified with the signalling system
Just caught word of a 507 broken down at Chester, exact number is not known. Luckily its not havig any effect on services (trains pulling in further up the platform).

Entirely agree with this. It's about time the Sunday service was enhanced year-round as the 30 minute timetable hasn't been enough for several years. A potentially attractive alternative may be forming the winter services of 6 cars throughout if a 15 minute service is impractical.

This will prove my point to SNL 824 -

Liverpool were away to Preston in a friendly today so with the 9 day block on the WCML a lot of fans will be travelling to Preston on the Ormskirk line. Merseyrail put a 6 car on the diagram that does the 18.20 x Ormskirk as this was connecting out of the 17.39 from Preston which was seen as the train a lot of Liverpool fans would be returning home on.

Hope this explains everything.

Well that's a great start, but what will really prove the point is 6 car sets to meet the soccerbuses at sahdhills

Cheers for explaining this the same happened last saturday as well
Hi All how many trains are in advert liveries atm im sure 507111 & 508011 both have Beatles Wrap but not sure on any of the others any help will be great
508111 is in Beatles Story wrap and 507002 is in Liverpool Hope Uni wrap. There are no others.

To be honest cant see a problem with the 15 minute service applying to Winter Sunday services , there is more than enough sets available , it just utilises sets that would otherwise be spare on a sunday .
