How does three double deckers materialise into 5 single deckers , is there anything else going as well.

I know, it makes no sense really! But in fairness the 4000s are on 403/13 a lot and deckers are not always required for the route.

Within that time frame plus 6 months the "X" plate cadets should be getting replaced also
There are whispers of the 07 plate Cadets from Speke coming too, once again, unconfirmed.

Unlikely also as nothing is arriving to replace them

I rode on 669 on the 175 this afternoon. A bit tight in places but no problems. I'd actually gone looking for a last ride on an MPD and was a bit surprised that an Optare showed up.

So is it definitive whether the optares will run the 175 , or do arriva have to go looking for vehicles to run this service from one of there many varied areas that operate short wheelbased vehicles . You do wonder how the operator of the 175 before Arriva managed on this route.

A good move would be to simply swap the three 07 plate Cadets with the Y-ABA Presidents and use them on the 699 which will struggle badly with just the recently cascaded Commanders.

The Cadets have no place at Speke and are too small for any of the depot's routes. Conversely, the 07 Cadets are better suited to the loads on the 403/413/414 than the Presidents are.
4202 has been on the 432/433/437 today and is on 432/437 lates tonight!

A Cadet was on the 410 today whilst the 411 was operated by 3006 and 3009.
669 is operating the 30 minute past each hour 409 from Birkenhead bus station today.
