Sorry if this seems obvious to you, but what is VF?

Is it vehicle familiarisation?

Yeah its short for veichle familiarisation just so drivers can get use to it and shown the controls and have drive of it.
It also allows the vehicles to be put straight into service immediately the phase 1 work has finished at green lane probably , rather than putting them through the VF after the work has finished.
Makes me wonder, what vehicles will be used for phase 3?
Has anybody got any pictures of this elusive bike bus yet?

Still not seen it
I don't have a picture, but I have seen it in service ... it definitely exists! Smile

Isnt only a certain amount of the double deckers required after phase 1 for work at Green Lane.

Phase 2 vehicles are only required for weekends which brings the requirement down a little.

Phase 3 is probably the one where the vehicles may have to be loaned back to Birkenhead , dont forget it should be a little better weather wise then we hope and passengers may even be fractionally higher than now.
