It is not a small loop therefore people travelling from one estate to the other estate would have to walk back or go all the way into Birkenhead to come back.
Therefore the concept of a service every two hours just about works , its just Sunday daytime where we have that farce of a four hour gap in one direction that im not liking , i know it keeps the odd hours service one way and the even hours the other way , but try explaining that to passengers is the hard bit .
2614 at laird street today seen on a 418
What will it take for them to remove the four hour gap? Or better so, have one bus an hour for both the 492 and the 495

The reason for the two hour evening and Sunday service is that because Arriva only agreed to extend the operating hours as a result of a campaign by the local MP and residents, they want to keep costs to a minimum = one driver, one bus!
And the four hour gap on Sunday is to accommodate a lunch break for the driver.
If they get enough people using the service, they might increase it
3180 was on the 432 today throwing out large amounts of black smoke

That’s very poor from Arriva, one of their worst vehicles on one of their premier routes. No doubt a load of Deckers where running round full of fresh air on the 61/63 etc.

The 61/63 etc are operated out of Bootle and deckers are definitely needed Mon-Friday. At weekends, Pulsars or Commanders are usually to be found on these routes. In fact most Bootle services are single deck on Sundays.

Haven driven all the routes involved, the 60 group only need deckers on certain journeys at school time. As do the 410/413 but we don’t see any. The 432/437 are a premier high paying route and should be 100% DD. LS is always on the breadline with deckers, about time some more where brought in.
