With regards to vandalism on the front seats of the Hybrids: the CCTV does not cover the 4 front seats or the very back seats- there are no dedicated cameras. If I were designing a bus I'd have a camera at the back, because that's where most of the trouble happens traditionally, so it makes sense to cover that area. It's also up to the driver to report vandalism after each journey so that the depot office can get hold of the CCTV and take any relevant action.
4170 has left Laird St for Bootle.
Saw 2424 on 492/5 and 2432 on 410/1 today (Friday) are they the only cadets left in service now? Also is 4170 move permanant?
Does Arriva still operate Creamfield shuttles from Lime St ?

Yes they do, the service departs from the rail replacement stop outside St Georges Hall.
Is this the reason 4170 is at Bootle ?

Doubt it as Speke are doing the Creamfields shuttles with ALX400s.
Had my first ride on a Streetlite today, 6005 (ironically, as I live in Neston) on the 409. Nice looking bus, but short on legroom, and snatching at the gears on the downshift.

That and the lack of Windows (and all the windows fitted at the front) really lets them down and makes the Buses feel like an oven in warm weather. I would not like to be on them for long!
I see where your coming from T42 PVM with the window layout on Arriva's Streetlites as its the same as on 582 braned B7s at First Bolton and their always warm in any sunnny weather and that's with the windows open
