HTH

4817 was in West Kirby on the 437 just before 12:00 noon today (2 Jan.)
That's what i think they are out in service for to ensure that there are no issues with them before they get used on the rails as would give them time to get repairs done.

Somehow Speke and Green Lane will be glad that any teething troubles will have been ironed out with there participation in the rail replacement work by the time they receive them.
It's going to be great for the next few weeks as you're not sure what you're going to see next.
Does anyone know what the Renown is allocated on today?

2717 on the 487
What is going to be used for the weekend work from after the 12th February
I have just heard that the trains from Birkenhead North to West Kirby and New Brighton are only running on a 30-minute frequency instead of the usual 15-minute one. I fear that the Arriva drivers on the rail replacement services will come in for some unfair criticism as they pull into the station just as the train is departing leaving irate passengers with a 29-minute wait on a cold and wet platform. I foresee some passengers opening the doors themselves in order to make the connection.
