3026 just spotted at Birkenhead bus station on the 407 to Liverpool. Looks like 3031 is also over here on the 414.

2973 also out on the 432/433/437 circuit. 2636 & 2641 still out in service today.

2629 and 2634 due for Chester whilst 2633 due for Rhyl is how I remember it, all 3 to replace older Cadets, 2503 and 2526 at Chester and 2484 at Rhyl.

I sampled one of the refurbished hybrids earlier on today. The refurbishment is good although it was disappointing to see a headrest has been badly vandalised already

Not surprised there, they've been having trouble with seat vandalism on them for years now.

Saying that it's nothing new, the 2nd to back row of seats on the palatines were so badly vandalised so often they took the whole row out and turned the 3rd row to face backwards.

They did have a clampdown on seat vandalism a while ago where all vandalism was reported as soon as found, reported on daily defect sheet, and reported and inspected on the daily walkaround. If exceptionally bad it didn't leave the yard. I don't work there now so can't comment whether it's still the case, but unfortunately will always be a problem.

2544 was on the 420 when I saw it earlier this morning, I thought all vehicles over 15 years of age weren't to be used in service by January 24th unless things changed last minute.

Might explain why 2585 came to Birkenhead a few days before the deadline.

Will be a temp loan more than likely to cover the refurb of the hybrids
