Yes, I've noticed how tatty the cross river hybrids have become - seemingly all around the same to me that it's wear & tear more than vandalism.
The vehicles are coming up to 6 years old now - time to spend some money on them Arriva!

time for new buses to replace them,i`m sure Speke and Green Lane could use them as extra deckers once replaced here, the newer Hybrids from last year should have been allocated to Laird St with the 13 plate ones moving to Liverpool, considering they had to pull them off the 79s due to damage probably proves a
mistake was made, vandals around Netherley must have been an issue before those buses entered service,of course at the moment Arriva are not investing in anything new,so it`s anybody`s guess when anything will replace the present cross river stock

Potential replacements won't be arriving any time soon. Unless there has been a recent change of policy, Arriva has yet to announce any full-size bus order for 2018-19 hence the current refurbishment of vehicles that, in the past, would have been sold on or scrapped.

I think it's already been mentioned that Arriva are not ordering any new vehicles this year
There will be no new veichles this year unfortunately but nothing as been said about next year.

Why do the 13-reg hybrids need replacing? They're not even mid-life yet
That wouldn't have worked because there are more Gemini 3s (51) than Eclipse Gemini 2s (44)

Being German owned, it's quite likely that Arriva are holding back on substantial investment until the outcome of Brexit is settled.

Totally Agree as can see DB getting shut after Brexit if it happens
Can't believe people are suggesting that 5 year old buses need replacing, really!!!! These are just a 3rd of their way through life. They may need a slight refurb with new seat covers but that's about it. Some people have got used to new buses a lot. Stagecoach only changed their X2 buses at 8 years old for example.
