There was a broken down hybrid causing long delays by Asda on Woodchurch Road this afternoon
Morning all. I have been informed Laird St are to receive five DAF DB250 (ex London 'DLPs') to replace 4001/2 with a further three for other purposes.

Doesn't Laird street still do rail Replacement work on behalf of Merseyrail , could the extra three vehicles be for this work , meaning the mainstream double deckers don't get used on this sort of work.

That's exactly correct! The three 'rail buses' were once 3306 - 3308 then 4096/7 and 4143, followed by 4000 - 4002.

Are we sure these are defiantly birkenheads and not another depots? Thought earlier on in this thread the new streetlites where going to be similar to hybrids having cross river livery

I thought there were only 6 on order this year,but i hope that is not the case
