The 418 has been on its death bed since it was cut back from Mill Park to New Ferry .
Then the next stage of its demise was the rerouting via prenton dell , whho would use Prenton Dell over Prenton itself .
Then going from every 30 minutes to every 40 minuites to every 1 hour .
Prenton Dell is the poor relation and will need some attention after this .
Is there a reason why 420 only runs in morning with no return journey in the evening peak?
It did once run both ways but has been cut over the Years until we where left with just a single trip

Most likely to do with loadings.
The bus on the morning 420 can be full after leaving Upton, were as evening buses often left Liverpool empty, & given the stopping arrangements, only passengers to & from Liverpool were carried on the 420.
Passengers from Liverpool, would often catch the first bus, even if was the 437, given the 437 only takes 5 minutes longer than the 420, so 420 loadings were often poor on leaving Liverpool, which is why all the journey's from Liverpool were withdrawn.

The 420 could always pick a decent load up from West Kirby if Merseyrail had a nightmare , the 420 was a political decision to keep last time there was cuts on the plate , but as there is upcoming franchise routes it was thought time to get rid of .

Is that a loan or transfer?

I think it's a transfer as the PVR has been reduced at Bootle and also not seen 2620 out recently.
Usual Bustimes edit precautions, has 2620 been confirmed to be getting converted into a training vehicle please?
