4211 was on the 408 today
If 10/10A and 83A are withdrawn, which is a possibility, do you think Merseytravel will replace them?
Ive heard the 407 is being extended from Town Meadow to West Kirby to partly replace 83A, and the 418 is going to operate via Prenton Dell. Not seen anything official though

The 407 would be good competition with the 38, it would have the upperhand if it retained the 20 minute frequency.

If Arriva don’t extend the 407, I wonder if Merseytravel would just extend the 16/17 to West Kirby, that would maintain the Arrowe Park - West Kirby section, if I remember rightly that’s what Avon done when they withdrew the 83A a few years ago

I had heard on the grapevine exactly the same thing , so if you've heard the same thing then there may be some credence in it .

418 via Prenton Dell is going to require the route to be amended via Borough Road and Prenton Road West as Storeton Road turn is impossible for a bus with the traffic lights as they are situated .
Is there need for another bus between Moreton and West Kirby with both the 22 and 38 going that way?

that junction was mentioned during the union meeting last week and they have said it wasn't a problem!
If the 407 is being extended to West Kirby, Arriva will have to get more hybrids in, as the 407 in turn interworks the 471/472, & Arriva are struggling at the moment with Pulsars regully on the 407/471/472, but hope Arriva give enough layover time for the 407 at West Kirby as i saw 2 hybrid 407s running together the other day.
I did hear that the revised 407 will interwork with 464, and the Heswalls stand alone

So does that mean the 407 will go to every 30 minutes or the 464 every 20 minutes, 407 every 30 minutes is inadequate, as is 464 to every 20?
