886 on 418.
2459 has now returned to Speke after being on loan.
Volvo B7TL 4205 on the 432/433/437 this morning meanwhile I had a lousy performance from VDL SB120 2641 on the Commuter Express 420 kicking up and down the gears every few seconds.
The Solos won't be operating the 175 due to the limited turing capacity they offer. The depot driving instructor has advised if they are used drivers will have to reverse them on a certain part of the route as they can not 'over curbs'.
So if they cant run solo's how have they been running MPD's on the route ?

Indeed they have, 819 has been allocated to the 175 for most of the week whilst 886 was parked in the depot.

solos have a wider turning circle than an mpd and the solos have the wheels in front of the driver which creates a different turning affect than those on an mpd.

Correct, because the wheels are in front of the driver, it cannot overhang kerbs. As the wheels on a dart are behind the driver, the first meter or so of the bus can overhang in tighter spaces
So the solo's may as well go back and for Arriva to go searching for more suitable vehicles for the 175
Within the next 12 months 4000/1/2 will be replaced by five 58 plate Pulsars. However, there are no details yet as this is once again unconfirmed.
