Am not sure exactly whats wrong with it, just that its something related to the Gearbox
Im wondering whether it may be a problem with the changeover from the electric pull away to the diesel engine kicking in , some of the old Birkenhead examples had a bad changeover.
Solo SR 717 on the 487 duplicate to Birkenhead this morning.

Saw it in Bebington about 0820ish, found out it went onto the 175 afterwards so headed to Heswall for a shot

Is the a need for this duplicate 487 , is the liverpool service heavily loaded around this time.

From what I have seen, the Liverpool-bound 487 is loaded and rammed with Wirral Grammar School kids at this time of the morning, all travelling from Neston and Thornton Hough. The service is renowned for running late, hence why there is a duplicate between Neston and Birkenhead only at 0800 in the morning.
Is 717 a swap with 3000 then which was on the 329 from St Helens earlier?

Possibly a temporary swap but il try find out.
4495 still in service with BN, any news on when its due to go?
Whats the main difference between the solo's that Birkenhead have for that work in Heswall and 717.
