This will take them into a completely new area, poi lay requiring another outstation?

Yes it appears to be the case with the 436 and 101. All depends if ARRIVA commercialise it like they did with the 53 Oswestry - Ellesmere to keep Bryn Melyn out when that tender was lost.
Yes it certainly does i dont think we will ever see a day where we take a photo of CBC and the blind comes out properly Laugh

Yeah possibly could be to be quite honest...just its one horrible Dart i mean im a big fan of Darts (as everyone has probably gathered) but CBC is just a no go.

Also just to reply also why get rid of T112KGP or T115KGP and keep S200CBC? S200CBC is probably the worst Dart in the fleet never has been good even R175VLA runs better than that...silly to keep a older vehicle and rid of a newer one i know the KGPs are Smaller but still...

There are many factors taken into account when deciding which buses to withdraw, and although I too am an enthusiast, the way a particular blind appears on a photograph is not a reason to withdraw a particular bus!. It is a simple job to fit a new blind unit.

We look at chassis and body condidtion, residule value and as we are trying to standardlise the fleet that also plays a big part in the desisicon. I too like the little Marshall Darts but sadly they are not as well built as a Plaxton MPD. Some of the older MPD's are being kept due to a contract we have on private property that requires 4 small vehicles and they are ideal for that site.

The new MetroCity's have a six cylinder Cummins engine, and the Rosso Solo YJ54 BUW is also fitted with a Cummins 6 cylinder engine
(02/04/2015 21:22)fordsonmajor2012 Wrote: [ -> ]Does that mean also that the 6 cylinder MPD's like V8 GHA will be staying or will they be heading for Graig Lelo as well soon? And are you aware of the plan for the older solo's as I only think a couple are DDA spec?

Yes at the moment all the Plaxton MPD's will be staying.

There are plans to convert most of the older Solo's to DDA, even though some will be cascaded to school only duties they will still be useful as spares.

I'd be doubtful of that initially. When they first started operating the 289 and 88 routes they operated them from Tarvin. They didn't consider running them from an outstation in the Altrincham area.

Maybe the 501 route will get a couple of extra services to be used as positioning moves for the 436?

All I can say is just watch this space, and things will become clearer soon..........
Confirmation of GHA having won the 436 is on the last page of this document: http://www.shropshire.gov.uk/media/49215...resent.pdf

First day of service will be Monday 20th July. (So long as Arriva do not decide to operate the service commercially!)

The timetable which was out to tender is attached. This would require 3 vehicles, 2 of which start in Bridgnorth and 1 in Shrewsbury. GHA may well therefore add some positioning trips at the start and end of the day.

Unless the blind has been resolved of late on S200 CBC it had been running around for some time with part of the blind broken i.e. as shown on Flickr via a search:

More of the point I was also highlighting.

No its been re-programmed now it works properly just you can never pick the thing up on your camera due to the refresh rate on the blind, although tbh CBC did go through a full refurbishment back in 2013 has a really nice interior just a shame its not to much of a good Dart.

And at least the Metrocitys wont be bad then being fitted with a proper engine Smile
