Good news that arriva NW have taken on the 82, i'd imagine it's just on a temporary basis for the time being so who knows what'll happen longer term. Anybody know did or has anything run in the cheshire east area today? Their website only shows:

Arriva used to run the 82 but withdrew because it wasn't making them enough money, which was when GHA took it on.

Only school contracts sorted so far in Cheshire East: http://www.cheshireeast.gov.uk/public_tr...anges.aspx

On Twitter earlier they implied the 27, 88 and 200 routes were the priorities.

Nothing at Knutsford bus station between 14:10 and 14:20 today apart from the 300 bus, between those times a 27, an 88 and a 289 service would have departed if they'd been operating.
We will be running the 289 service from tomorrow
Whilst the 'timing' of such an unfortunate event can never be good, at least it is at a time when Schools are finishing/finished for the summer so spare vehicles and even drivers might be easier to come by.
Arriva will be operating the denbigh to wrexham service and evenings between rhyl and ruthin

X51 Denbigh to Wrexham via Ruthin
.
First may I offer all the drivers and other staff who have worked with GHA over the years my very best wishes for their future. I have found all staff at GHA to be very enthusiast friendly and I am grateful to all the supervisors, managers and drivers for the cooperation and friendship.

The efforts of the local authorities are now starting to emerge and clearly from tomorrow a number of the services will be run by other companies. Today some services were operated by companies at short notice. These include :-

1. 55 Ruthin to Corwen - operated by M and H Coaches - PHOTO

2. X50 Ruthin to Denbigh - operated by Stagecoach - PHOTO

3. T3 Wrexham to Barmouth - operated by Lloyds Coaches, Machynlleth. - PHOTO

There were others but these are ones I managed to photograph.

The fleetlist in my website at http://www.ronsbusesandcoaches.com/gha/g...-fleetlist is I believe up to date. This fleetlist is also available for download at LINK This version of the fleetlist is in registration number order and also indicates vehicles which at the beginning of July were either in service or where then out of service.

The H Man - Tell me mind my own beeswax here if you want but which company is it you work for who'll be running the 289?

It's a nice route although very windy with some properly narrow lanes to squeeze down.

Good to hear. It's mentioned on the Cheshire East website now. Also mentioned is:

D&G will run the 39, 42, 51, 52, 52A, 53, 77, 90, 91 and 92 routes from tomorrow.

High Peak will run the P1 and 19 routes from tomorrow.
Arriva are taking on the DB1 and DB2 routes from tomorrow.
