That's brilliant a dart for £4.5k is an absolute bargain, as dave dickinson would put it cheap as chips! Pity it looks like a transbus variant but then again can't imagine it'd be that hard to get hold of an original or refurbished dennis motor from somewhere.
Yup be a right Gem that.
Can anyone confirm the registration that N8 GHA carries now it is with Mikro, there is photographic evidence of it in Crewe in September with N8 GHA registration, but there is a possibility it has now been re registered

Many thanks
The main yard and the workshops at the former GHA depot in Ruabon has now been emptied of vehicles. Some photos taken today (21st) can be seen here - <1> <2> <3> <4>

I have updated my table of the dispersal of the fleet. Whilst well over 250 have been traced I am still trying to ascertain the wherabouts of some 55 buses. I would be grateful for any information on these missing ones.

The table on my website can be found at --- LINK ---

Whilst not being used, the Davies brothers (former Directors of GHA) have retained / purchased from the on-line auction some 37 of the former GHA fleet. The details of these can be found from my table within my website. They are in the process of starting to sell these. Some are located in the former Bryn Melyn yard (later became the GHA staff car park). Others are at Ruthin and Bettws GG.

Quite a number of buses recovered by the Finance Companies remain unsold. Some are located in Biddulph Staffordshire and at Ensign Bus in Purfleet, London. The seven buses returned to Flintshire County Council are still being stored and their future is still not clear.

Seasons Greetings

A number of the newer GHA vehicles had GHA branding on the seat covers. Does anyone know if the new operators replaced the seat covers or whether if they are in a part of the country where probably no-one will have heard of GHA Coaches have they been retained?

From pictures online they have been left and no doubt would cost a small fortune to replace as they just say 'GHA' or 'GHA gold' I doubt passengers really know what it stands for.

Also, SN04 EFS is with Cardinal Buses in Surrey: https://www.flickr.com/photos/gricerman/31602755172/

The two Metrocities with NAT still have their red GHA Seats

The GHA Gold Enviro at Mid Wales Travel still have the red GHA Gold Seating, whilst the green Beartown Bus, although currently out of service still has its green Beartown branded seating
I can't see any operator having purchased anything of the fresher vehicles being bothered to retrim it remove the the previous operators branding.... that would mean purchase + retrim cost
Neither willI ever understand the idea behind retrimming Late 90's buses with plastic leather... more so now it's apparent there may of not been a pot to pi** in.

I don't think most former-GHA passengers knew what GHA stood for!

It could be another reason why Arriva North West didn't want the buses for Cheshire area services - they would have looked like buses that belonged to an old operator even with a new livery and the passenger notices changed. GHA didn't even manage to cover up or remove the D&G Bus passenger notices on the Cheshire Connect Solos properly, it looked like someone tried to pull them off but gave up when it didn't work first time.
I was inferring what 'GHA' stood for in terms of peoples perceptions rather than the actual meaning.
