Yes, new(er ) buses are planned Within a few weeks I understand.

Sounds like someone may be getting a P45 in the post later this week, and an awkward session with the traffic commissioner for senior management

Sorry - but to say that 'none' of the services ran is simply WRONG.

I set out below a few of my notes on the first day of GHA operations in the East Cheshire area where various changes have been made to timetables and contracts.

I was able to see two of the new Enviro 200's in operation on the improved frequency 88 service Altrincham to Knutsford. YX64VRG and YX64VRK were captured in Wilmslow.

I understand that one of the new Enviros (YX64VRJ) is the last to receive its vinyls and will be displayed at the NEC Euro Bus Expo 2014 next week. The currently branded Versa MX58KZF will therefore remain on the 88 until VRJ is free to take its place.

The Dart which is branded for the 88 which worked the peak service in the early morning SN03DZZ is to be de-branded but will keep Cheshire Connect livery and will be based at Macclesfield primarily for work on the 27 which has also had its frequency improved.

I visited Congleton and managed to see all six Solos owned by East Cheshire that transferred from D & G Bus - their former operator to GHA to work the new contracts won. YJ54ZYA and YJ54ZYC were operating the 42 Crewe – Congleton service together with YJ54UBD. Unfortunately my photograph of the latter was taken whilst it was en route and is too blurred to be posted. I understand that these vehicles are based in Winsford. YJ54ZYD and YJ54ZYE were operating the Congleton local services and I believe these are now Macclesfield based vehicles. YJ54ZYB was working the 77 service which runs from Congleton to Kidsgrove which I understand is operated by Winsford depot.

Thanks for your useful report. However, are there not seven Solos? I believe there is a YJ54ZYF also - or has this remained with D&G?

So far there are seven Solos belonging to East Cheshire. The six I identified (ZYA/B/C/D/E and YJ54UBD) from D & G - plus one that I believe was last with Tomlinsons YM52TPV.

ZYF was being used yesterday by D & G. I understand one more is to transfer but I am not sure whether it will be ZYF or YM52TPY.

Hope that is helps

Interesting that there is a full stop after '88' on the displays.

Tarvin based Transbus CA53GHA is at GHA's Ruabon(Wrexham) Depot for it's MOT got taken down this morning

In it's place is L409NUA on loan to Tarvin
Seeming as L409NUA is on topic why have G.H.A Repainted its front and cabside plain white but left the door side completely as it was?

Some destination programmers put a full stop after the service number to put a space between the last number and the end of the blind, all they have to do is use the border option and the program will do it without the full stop.

I re programmed Arriva Chester depots after someone there did it.
