If they try expand to much in greater manchester i think stagecoach and first wont be to happy unless they are going for the tenders as stagecoach dont like others stepping on there toes as we have seen in the past and manchester is a stronghold for them both.
It definitely sounds as though Rotala will eventually try and expand, seems they've had their eyes on Manchester for a while. As for Arriva going for SLT, don't think that was ever going to happen they don't even seem interested in Bolton (or Manchester in general anymore) considering how much it's downsized since Blue Bus.
I wouldn't go as far as to say Arriva have no interest in Bolton following the introduction of Sapphire last year and the hybrids a couple of years ago. Perhaps fair to say that they're only interested in the work that brings in a fair return but then that's just business sense.

I think they lost interest when they lost out on the first wigan depot as they put a bid in but stagecoach stepped in with the higher bid and with bolton now losing the minibus route round eccles and manchester in my opinion the future doesnt look bright for them but thats only my opinion.

This is what I'm thinking, long before these losses there's also a lot less routes in Bolton too. I expected the Sapphire and 10 arguments to come up but these are 3 routes of which only 1 actually serves Bolton. Maybe in the long term whatever's left of Bolton could fit with Rotala...
Just a quick point regarding that, once the Company PVR goes up next month there will be no room left in the Depot

EDIT: SLT Buy now mentioned on the Rotala Website

What do people think of the name change to Diamond Bus North West?
D&G some how nabbed the 64 plate enviros off SLT before the sale seems a wise move
Diamond Bus Northwest is an Awful Name Ex Bluebus W187YBN and One of the 57 Plate Solos showed no sign of Rotala Ownership
