If/when confirmed, it will give Rotala a further foothold in the North West along with Preston Bus. Wonder if the deal also involves D&G at Crewe which would be nearer to most of Rotala's Midlands operations.

Upon acquisition the current Directors will resign; Simon Dunn, Kim Taylor, Bob Dunn and Antony Goozee will be appointed Directors of the new acquisition. The legal entity name will be changed to Diamond Bus (North West Ltd) and over the medium term the intention is to rebrand the business.

The new acquisition will form part of the Rotala Plc North West Division. Consequently it will be supported by the Preston Bus business and Bob Dunn will become the Managing Director.

Rotala Plc sees this opportunity as an entrance route into the Greater Manchester market, and it leaves the group well positioned for future market developments and potential opportunities.

Although the acquisition does not represent a material transaction to Rotala, it will be notified to the London Stock Exchange before the market opens on Monday.

Slight correction - the 635 will replace the 612 but will be operated by Cumfybus, not SLT.
Cheers for that Jcksmnr and thanks Pocket Dart i will correct my mistake now Smile
It's Eccles as well not eccels and I'm Confused by the 640/1 I Assume Avoiding Orrell/Pemberton? which may impact the profitability of the routes
I think it does miss Orrell Post from the change and i think the change is TFGM Funded
Regarding the takeover this gives Diamond Bus just over a month to source appropriate vehicles to replace some of the SLT vehicles for when they take over the Salford/Manchester tenders, I'm wondering whether we will actually see new vehicles for these routes now
