Noticed also that Eccles vehicles have been on the 571/2s all week too!

Too dark to see full registration but pretty sure it's was said bus. Looked shiny and still had full white destination screens all round whereas all the other have been swapped to orange.

Also brand new 40794 is another 471 branded vehicle.

Yeah, 40705 is back. It's on the 501 today. I'd have thought they would replace the front window pillars on the top deck with just standard pillars as per the new batches of streetdecks, but they haven't.
I'm guessing its still Eccles Depot operating 126/132/300s but due to Christmas Shopping traffic they've sent some of the Streetdecks to Eccles Depot so they can cope with capacity this year as the branded Streetlites wouldnt have been able to cope.

The 571/572 will still be operated by Bolton Depot.

To be honest
Simon Dunn confirmed the message below on the WM forum last night.

28 ex First leased B7RLE/Wright have now been acquired to provide short-term cover for a delay in delivery of the final 39 x Streetdecks, now due April/May/June 2021.

They are as folows:

Being totally honest those Streetlites have been too small since they arrived, Back when my mate worked at Atherton he was saying how standing loads where really common more so on the 126, You can just about get away with a using full sized single Decker on there.

Why would you acquire buses you’ve leased and run into the ground. Totally backwards in my opinion.

Seems to be a 6 month stop gap until all the Streetdecks are in service, then these will most likely be disposed off

Short term gap until the final streetdecks are delivered. Makes total sense and obviously first don’t have a need for all of them.

I’d happily bet these will still be dragging around Bolton this time next year. They have run them into the ground knowing their going back to First - who will most likely scrap them, and now they have been acquired and will need additional money spending on them to keep them running.
I suspect there’s more to it. My mate at Bolton reckons the Streetdecks are already proving unreliable. At least 10 waiting for warrenty work. Wonder if they regret sending back the deckers to First.

Well you goto think reason arriva ones ended up at DNW. You know there going to be issues when there one with a inside panel made by the fitters as the clips broken.

it not really a shock with the first buses and could see them keeping them and getting rid of non standard buses they have afterwards.
