Just what i've discovered in the last 10 minutes online
Just saw an article online claiming that Diamond Bus in the Midlands are at risk of losing their Licence and that made me wonder if that would have any knock on affect for Diamond Bus North West?

No because each arm operates on a different licence number with a different number of operating discs, North West operates on the old South Lancs licence, likewise Preston on the old Preston Bus one.
The only knock-on effect would be the inheritance of fleet and assets.

That's not strictly true. When South Lancs were called before the Traffic Commissioner whilst under D&G/Peddle ownership, the Senior Traffic Commissioner threatened to extend the PI to cover all licenses that were associated with the directors.

(In case you were wondering, I was sat next to Julian Peddle at the time the STC made the threat, hence how I know!)

I always forget the D&G involvement Hammer
But surely the directors listed on the Diamond Bus licence will not all be the same as those on the SLT licence, or the Preston Bus licence. It may even be the case those named on the Diamond Bus licence are not named on the SLT licence or Preston Bus. In that case, I doubt SLT or Preston Bus would lose their licence.

However, if, and it's a big if, the licence were to be revoked for Diamond Midlands, or the licence for the services in Redditch, then it could have an effect on Rotala, in that they would have lost an operation, and possible revenue. But, they still have highly profitable areas like Preston to provide the pennies.
If anything the licence wouldn't get revoked , just the amount of disc's would drop at Diamond Bus Midlands .
I noticed diamond bus nw Mercedes benz(BT11 ***) is on 132 today as I pass on my 632 bus at wigan bus station is leave bus station to journey Trafford centre.

Thanks
