The Solo on route 79 left Swinton still displaying Swinton not Stretford as its destination. Similarly, my 29 displayed Little Hulton instead of Pendleton as its destination.

Most if not all 37s, and a few 36s, used Eclipses including indigenous examples instead of double-decks. Maybe this had become commonplace to enable the early return of double-decks to First.

Thank you Winston for giving us dates of when the new Streetdecks are due.

I was under the impression the Mellor's were taken off the 79 due to the aggressive road humps between Stretford and Salford. My spine says that was a good decision. Even at a snails pace it was very uncomfortable indeed and couldn't have done the vehicles suspension any good at all.

Fair play about why they should no longer work route 79. As there are so many more in the West Midlands, I may well have a day there to ride one. Flickr has already given an indication where I should be able to see them.

I need to go on one of the Diamond Mellors soon. There aren't many in Manchester but routes for guaranteed Mellors are 353 and 354 by Nexus Move

only until april then the 353-356 all become one route along with the 407. hopefully the mellors stay but could become a minibus route again

Well no one knows who will operate the new route yet. I do know that nexus have LO19 YYE and YYF on lease for 1 year but if needed for longer they can lease them again.
Is it known if 20726 has returned from Preston?
