That's twice in 2 occasions that I have wanted to use a Diamond bus which has not turned up. Last October the first afternoon 293 was so late that they cancelled it and subsumed it into the next journey. As it then experienced some delays, I commiserate passengers who had a log wait.
I had considered using route 27 too. While this ought not to have cancellations being a TfGM tender, I would not have felt like finding out. As it is, its TfGM Versas replicate others in the area.
Only local users can say whether the service has declined since Rotala took over South Lancs Travel and Go Goodwins. In addition, they do have a bus tracker on their website.
You could always ring Diamond to see if they know why the buses didn't run. Perhaps one broke down, was involved in an RTC or a passenger was taken ill?
A new demonstrator here is SK17 HHL a DF Wrightbus Streetlite with start-stop technology operating on 126 Trafford Centre route
This week also saw some golden oldies in full Go-Goodwins colours and fleetnames. Operating on 74 /75 Salford circulars were 33EXG (WEZ 9165, X313CBT) and R77WES (WEZ 7833, Y61HWT) . Maybe loans?.

This or the Citaro BT66TZE would be ideal for Diamond. I wasn't at all impressed when SK17HHL operated with another local operator. I thought it very clunky in places. It's positive was lower emissions.
Diamond has one or two former YourBus Citaros hence why I've said them.
Diamond has aquired 4 B7RLE i assume for the Horwich routes.

That’s bizarre, can only assume the ‘WEZ’ registrations are for sale.
Does anybody know if Diamond still has SK17HHL and where I might find it?
TIA for information
