I have just recieved this email from Tim O'Toole, Chief Executive of first
'We start the year by moving Four Enviro 400 buses to Bolton. Additional vehicles will also be coming from Hampshire to Greater Manchester this month, which will allow us locally to release two 5-year old Volvo B9’s into the Bolton fleet.
Going forward, we will retire more of the oldest buses throughout the year and will cascade newer buses throughout the network, which will improve the overall age profile and image of the Bolton fleet.'

So that will be either Streetlites or B7RLEs as a consequence of this weekend's cuts in Southampton.

Presumably, they will be 33752 and whichever are the lowest three 3383x examples left at Rusholme. Logically, they will move next weekend when the 41 is reduced. Talking of which; First have registered a significant reduction to the 42 (East Didsbury) from 4th March. The Mon-Sat service is reduced to every 20 minutes, with an earlier finish just before midnight, and Sunday/PHs withdrawn completely. This will save up to 5 more buses, either allowing more Enviro400s to move or Presidents to be withdrawn. The date seems highly significant as it is not an official "Change Date", so why couldn't they wait 5 weeks.......................?

33752 & 33831 have been at BN since around November so they might be counting them too. Unless it’s another 4. Just have to wait I suppose.

I didn't know 33752 had already gone. First Manchester fleet info is notoriously difficult to come by.
