Have some information, on First manchester Bury Depot, comes direct from an engineer who works at Bury Depot.

34028,34291.34294 although withdrawn in April with the rest of the batch. Were put back into service for a maximum of 6 months, due to them having longer MOTs than 34023,34069,34070,34029 etc.

In addition Towards the End of August Bury Depot are re launching the 471 and 135 services as overground. At the same time Bolton Depot will relaunch the 36 and 37. So now the bendis are not to leave Bury at this time, instead will be painted into the new livery along with the Bury Depot based B9S and at least 2 B7s. The plan at the moment is that the 6 B9s Oldham depot are sending to the olympics, will be exchanged for 6 Barbie B9s.

This information has also appeared on the Gm buses group
I thought the only buses First Manchester were sending to the Olympics were the new ones that have already gone, I didnt realise any vehicles from the current fleet were actually going, any idea of where these barbie B9s will be coming from and whats going to replace them at the depot their coming from

There do seem to be questions on this like for instance overall allocation, as this read last night, Oldham are sending 6 B9S to Bury Depot used at the olympics in new livery. Can only assume that these will be 09 plate, as Oldham I doubt would send anything less. At this moment in time, it would seem its a straight swap 6 barbie B9s from the current 07 fleet at BY For the 6 at OM in new livery. If it does play out like this I can't see Oldham being bothered with them being 07 as they will have new buses to play with anyhow 50 of them. So it might be that Bury doesn't send any B9s in exchange because will Oldham need them?. Not to mention the surplus B9s that youd expect there to be with 100 new buses arriving in the next few weeks. So where will any spare B9s go? My guess would be Wigan maybe Bury as well. But of course this does depend on new buses and any overall allocation changes over the next few weeks.LOL
Wigan are using there B9s on the Manchester Football Olympics!

Ah well that doesn't surprise me after all, the olympics isn't totally London is it.

Just a quick random question, the allocation of service 510 is to Bury Depot, does anyone know if there is anything in it. That Bolton will once again operate the route????

:O interesting! Should see some nice stuff on the 32 and the X34 then! If an Excel ends up on either of them, that would be hilarious. They'd probably blow up on the East Lancs! :P

Indeed! I was thinking about about the allocations too, if there's no/very little B9TLs left at Wigan for the routes whilst they're doing the Olympics stuff, I'd imagine Arrows/B7RLEs/B10BLEs would be on the 32 and Bryn-run X34s. I know for a fact that it's not unusual to see those three bus types on the 32 on a daily basis (apart from Sundays with Arrows). I also went on 30586 P413MTW on the X34 around Christmas time, not fit for high speeds at all, going up the East Lancs where the X34 turns onto it in Astley I think it is at about 15mph was not exactly a great speed to be going down that road! :P
