First were out testing the diversion yesterday using an Enviro400. They did a few loops. Carnt see it taking that much longer although coming into Ashton the opposite way will be temptation for the lazy drivers to alight on Wellington road.

Apparently there are still meetings going between First/TFGM and Tameside council regarding the diversion. It seems First feel that subsidised services might be affected during the roadworks so no doubt they will get paid extra money to run the 419/41 to the diversion.

Saw an unusual sight this evening on the way home, which was a Citaro 60226 parked at Garden Suburb waiting for time on the 184 to Manchester.

How long does it take to get to Radcliffe from Piccadilly on the 135?
