Can anyone offer an explanation as to why Oldham depot recieved Citaro's instead of something Volvo/Scania like everywhere else? It just never made any sense to me that they would choose a completely alternative product for one depot alone. I've just lead myself to believe that Oldham had a disliking of B10BLE's and L94UB's... Any answers would be well apreciated
I THINK THAT YOU ARE RIGHT IN SAYING THAT MAYBE MERCEDES OFFERED THEM CHEAPER IN COMPETITION WITH SCANIA AND VOLVO.

I mentioned nothing in that context, Thomas! I think we're having a bit of an outbreak of Caps-Lock Syndrome today! :O

Im wondering which will be next, as they do seem to be painting more or less in fleet order, instead of any old way, as before
I think 37399, 37425,37426 possibly
37425 was out on Friday still in the old livery. 37424 is the first of the 37 branded ones to be done. This wasnt completely debranded before hand, this one had its offside removed around 12 months ago and not replaced due to an accident and panel replacements. Also, remember quite a few of the 36/37 ones were not completely branded in the first place three years ago, some had the front window bit missing, bubbles on the back window, side bits. 37420 is the worst, this is still running around as initially branded with loads missing.
They are basically taking in three a week on a Monday and back in service the follwoing weekend. I'm sure the painters are getting a bit sick of repainting the same each week especially after doing all of Oldham's as well.
37425 WAS SEEN BY ME ON THE 37 GOING INTO BOLTON JUST BEFORE I THINK 37426 MIGHT BE THE THIRD OF THIS WEEKS REPAINTS ALONG WITH 37424,37425
Are you sure 37425 has been repainted as it was defo out on the 37 late last week?
Going off reports this weeks are 37401, 37424 plus one other. They are also quite random in their repaints as 37369, 37417 & 37418 were the first to be done then they jumped back to 37303, 37372 & 37390. Anyway, the small fleet numbers at the front make it harder to identify which is which. Will keep my eyes peeled tomoz.

Dont think the system is that random, they are coming across as some sort of logic.
I identified it side on and yes im sure as anything that it was 37425 also I saw 37401 last week on the 8 mid week
Forgot to mention that old Boltonian 66897 is back on loan, was seen on the 501 on Saturday. Presume this has replaced 66875 on paint cover.
Noted heading through Ashton in Makerfield this evening on my way home was a convoy of at least 30-odd Ulsterbus Gemini 2s in blue Ulsterbus and pink Metro livery (albeit totally void of an names and adverts) all heading towards First's Bryn depot. An Ulsterbus Scania i6 has also been seen around here this evening as well.
Two more Bolton repaints:
37301
37404
