Interesting chat today about fourthcoming improvments on the 36 and 37. And 471 service's.
Seems ever more likely Enviro's to arrive at Bolton Depot and Oldham in the next 10 days or so very staggered, to be launched onto an improved 36 and 37 service. No real knowledge of Oldham only the blindingly obvious of the 409 58/59 getting an upgrade
Queens Road 39216 doing a 32 to Wigan, is this a loan to wigan, or are QS doing 32s as well as some 33s and X34s. Some enlighten this Bury Lad :-)

:O! I've never seen that happen before! Maybe one of the Wigan buses for the route broke down in Manchester so Queens Road sent a vehicle out to replace it! :P

That is maybe the most likely explanation :-)

That would make sense, Volvo B10BLE's out of QS and perhaps Dart SLF's from another area that are newer than R Plate, perhaps some from Yorkshire or Scotland or Midlands.
I think the P reg Arrows as well if any are left may get replaced by something slighly newer as they are now too old for school work.
Generally what I suspect will happen is that some B9TL's at least will get cascaded away possibly in exchange for newer Midibuses, its also possible I guess that some B7RLE's may go likewise to other fleets.
I guess and I emphacise guess that Manchester will recieve B9TL's that are displaced to cascade B10BLE's to Wigan probably the older batches or the odd balls within them.
Bury might get some but they arent now really needed there as they already have enough B9TL's to service the 471, maybe perhaps a few more could be in order.
B7RLE's would ber cascaded out from the Bury and Bolton stock along with B9TL's from out of the Oldham stock indead three have already gone to London for the 2012 Olympics so may not come back here and instead may go elsewhere, they where 09 Plated examples in the new livery.
Interesting Aberdeen is expecting a number of deckers so it may be possible some of ours are going there.

Yep it will be I witnessed it once before on a Saturday when 37300 was substituted for a WN vehicle on a 32, it is rare but Wigan is that far away from Manchester to send a bus from Wigan would be inpracticle as a replacement. Also in the past BN covered for MR breakdowns at Leigh as well when they operated the 26.

Not for long, as it still seems likely that, 37550/7 could well be moved to Bury next month, as Bolton are waiting an imminent arrival of new vehicles as would Oldham be, so Iam told. Still its a wait and see game

I would guess that the new buses for Oldham would be used on the 82/83. It's the only major route in Oldham not to gain route branding.

37553/57 also back in service on the 83 this afternoon.
