Decker on the 32X feels a waste of a decker, plus don't get the point of the 32X when the normal 32 runs a couple of minutes ahead of the 32X.

I don't really get the 32X either, but I have thought of two possible reasons:
Warrington seem to like throwing additional resources, often high-capacity vehicles, onto corridors where they are competing with other operators (recently the 16's and Westys).
Or it could be a way of slowly getting rid of the 32, as I don't think Warrington really like going around the Penketh estates (the 31 went some years ago), by saying all passengers can get the 32X/14/15 instead - hope it doesn't come to that.
Watch this space with regards to the 32 service. I can’t say too much at this time but expect some announcements soon regarding the 32 and the route it will involve...

Sounds interesting - no changes have gone through on VOSA that I can see, so I guess it would be a while off yet.

Yes, it does see use, e.g. in these photos by Mike McNiven on Flickr:

I know they are applying new branding to the versas so they are each having a bit of time out for that.

Warrington have not bought any new double-deckers for many years. They usually rely on acquired examples, often ex-London.

Despite they tried out the Enviro 400MMC, Really cant see any new double deckers coming anytime soon, I'd be surprised if they did ordered some. But i agree the current ones are looking tired now. They could potentialy require newer ones from london (i.e b9tl wright/1st gen enviro 400)

I do expect the next time there be a new bus order would be more Enviro200's
