Sadly Warrington Borough Transport's No.148 PD Leyland Titan PD2/40 East Lancs, has sadly now been withdrawn, the future of this bus right now is unknown

Yes, there are sometimes standing loads, especially when there are many students travelling back and forth to Warrington Collegiate on Winwick Road, plus the usual punters around Orford and Longford.
When there is fleet renewal and new electric buses are acquired, I would be willing to bet that 20/21 are one of the first to be upgraded and given a dedicated fleet of large vehicles for Monday-Friday, running until at least early evening.

If you disagree with me, that's fine, and then I hope we can just agree to disagree because I'm not interested in arguing about it - just my point of view.
Relatively small service changes ahead of the next academic year, with 21 being retimed and a few journeys on other services also having minor amendments:

The change to the last CAT9A does make the CAT9 more consistent between Comberbach and Warrington. (Currently 80 minute gap, then 25). However, it does come at the price of the last bus from Northwich to Anderton being 17:45 instead of 18:20.
Notice given of the 62(A) getting cancelled from next month - perhaps another operator will be picking it up?

I gather Arriva will get this because they already have the Saturday service version of this.

I had a feeling they’d do the full 62 eventually seems to be the last former Halton route that’s still got a strange timetable.

Not saying they are but from my point of view I can't see any other operator take on the route other than Arriva.

Obvious Arriva will be the only interested operator to run the full 62 but with Runcorns PVR dropping would additional vehicles need to return to Runcorn to run it?
I would hope that when it gets taken on, it is taken on, on a half decent timetable. Not messing around like WOB do.

They haven't wanted it since they started it so hopefully now someone half decent can take over and do the route some justice. I do think though that it will help Arriva overall having both of the routes from Runcorn to Warrington (the fast way).
