Among other changes in ticketing, full fare will apply to disabled/elderly before 0930 on weekdays from this Monday.
Not sure if its affecting Network Warrington but apparently there's a set of roadworks on Winwick Road at the moment at the junction of Long Lane, and from what I heard yesterday traffic at one point was backed up all the way to Newton-le-willows

Yep, it is: there's a notice on their website about it.
Expected to last until Monday.

I really hope they are making some effort to lessen the impact of this, such as laying on extra vehicles, but knowing the recent take on things, doubt that this is the case unfortunately.
Possible delays to some of Network Warrington services this morning due to the following:

A49 Cheshire - A49 Newton Road in Winwick closed in both directions between the Hollins Lane junction and the Hermitage Green Lane junction, because of fallen power cables. Diversion in operation - as signed

Combined with the roadworks southbound nearer to Warrington, could be an interesting day/morning to services using Winwick Road
There is quite a lot of minor 'news' going on with the company, posted on various parts of the website.
Perhaps most of note at the moment, beyond the ongoing strikes, is the loss of yet another school contract:

Just thought I would highlight a few interesting things on the website:

Some new photos on http://www.networkwarrington.co.uk/bus-e...ts/gallery
The strike action today was cancelled!

Also, changes to the 19 28 and 28a are afoot:
http://www.networkwarrington.co.uk/news/...anges---19
The new timetable from 16th December is available here:
http://www.networkwarrington.co.uk/asset...454689.pdf

The 3 and 15 also have small changes coming up on the 16th December:
http://www.networkwarrington.co.uk/news/...ces-3-&-15

The picture is quite mixed, but restoring the 28 to Leigh MS daytime is probably the best bit.
However it *looks* like there will be no interworking and there will be 2 vehicles on there, leaving it highly likely to get behind.
It looks like the 19 will get 1 vehicle MS evenings, and the 28a and 3 will interwork in late evenings, covered by 2 vehicles.
Possibly the other half of the 3 may interwork with the 32a and 15.
So the Evening/Sunday 19 no longer runs through to Leigh ending a link that has been in existence since the start of dereg (certainly remember minilines branded minibuses doing the Sunday service in the late 80s).
Notice of strike action on 13th-15th November:

Given what has been said in that statement on their website, is it fair to assume that WBT have no more to offer the unions?
