That new Timetable for the X2 is Poor, on a Saturday the first X2 from Liverpool gets into Preston for 10:02 and that also means anyone who wants to connect with the X8 cant anymore, Am going to E.Mail Stagecoach about that now.
The 17B is a bit of a disgrace. What other Quality Partnership route has a 5 hour gap on a Sunday morning - so much for thoughts of this as being a change for the better!
Isn't it a throwback to the dark days of before deregulation when there was many routes that didn't start till after lunch on a sunday .
It isn't a 5 hour gap though is it, it's two extra morning journeys on a service that starts in the afternoon just as it is now.

Shows how interested both Arriva and Halton really are in this "QBP" as the evening and Sunday service has been left down to Merseytravel. As they have made cut backs elsewhere as of late it's hardly surprising they are unwilling to provide a morning service here.
Also it does not state anywhere within the timetable if Arriva/Halton tickets are valid on Hattons early Sunday journeys.
To be fair the Hatton's journeys seem to be unchanged completely, the timings being exactly the same. I know HTL were involved by the process of the timetable change and accepting Halton and Arriva passes but technically speaking HTL are not part of the QBP which would mean older buses such as the regular allocation of V980 XUB to the weekday service would be unaffected by any of the QBP rules.

The other pointless change is moving the end point to Bickerstaffe Street which of an evening is a pain to get in with various buses parking there as it is, I can see most evening 17Bs starting and finishing as current on Hall Street.

Oh that timetable is very confusing to say the least .

Seems the Arriva version does not do a Liverpool - Aintree Racecourse service on the Thursday , but does on the Friday and Saturday. Thursday is usually the quietest day of the festival though.
Temporary Changes to buses serving Arrowe Park while a new bus interchange is to be built at the Hospital
