I commuted through the tunnel for over 33 years, initially by public transport but later as a motorist. Although I could have opted to move across the river in order to avoid the tolls I chose not to. Many of my colleagues did, but that was their choice. As far as I am concerned, when there is a real option, if people choose to use their own vehicle as opposed to public transport to commute they should have to pay a premium for it.
I suppose the people that use the Runcorn Bridge for free everyday and benefit from Merseytravel funded services in the South Liverpool and St Helens area are on a Win Win !
I found this a lot more funny than i should of
Bus number: 42
Run by: Halton Transport for Merseytravel
Going between: Crossens and Walnut Street
Date service changes: 29 March 2015
What's changing? This service will be withdrawn and will no longer run after this date.

Don't they mean Arriva as Arriva run the 42 between Crossens and Walnut Street according to Merseytravel Timetable pdf's
I think it means the 42 from Croxteth - Riverside College Andy
EDIT: I think its a mix of both 42 Services by mistake as the 42 in Southport is getting Withdrawn and replaced by the extended 44 Service

Halton Transport's 42 isn't being withdrawn, it's the arriva service.
