The 12 is an interesting one of note. Shame there's still no direct link to Tesco on the Linkway though. Worth also noting that it's now a charged service.
It's now a faster route to Morrisons but a longer route back from Morrisons towards the Town Centre - still a welcome semi-replacement.
Another thought is the stop on the Retail Park outside outside of Currys will have to be moved across the road as the service returns to the Town Centre via the Linkway.
Having had more thoughts about this route, think it would have been a better idea to have ran Morrisons - Town Centre - Ravenhead Retail Park, thus either side would have had a straight run to the Town Centre.
Here's what's changing between 23 February - 1 March 2014:

Planned changes to bus services:

The following services will no longer run from 23 February:

E10 St Helens circular Merseytravel Bus Service
E11 St Helens circular Merseytravel Bus Service
E12 St Helens circular Merseytravel Bus Service

The following new service is introduced from 24 February:

68 Bootle - Aigburth (one trip) run by Peoplesbus

The following service is changing from 24 February:

52A Liverpool - Netherton run by Peoplesbus

It is interesting to note that the 12 (St Helens Circular) is longer listed on the forthcoming changes page and is no longer available through searches. Has this been withdrawn even before starting?
I did see that, when questioned about the service on their Facebook page, Peoplesbus were unwilling to comment on it at that time so seems likely something has come up somewhere along the line.
I asked a lady in Merseytravel's Travel Centre in St Helens about this and she said there been some problem with contract and it has been put on hold until these issues have been resolved. She also could not confirm when the service would start.
Thanks for the info SHR. Sounds like there is still intention for the service, pending contract agreement, at least.
Timetable for route 12 is up online now, shown as operated by Selwyns

I assume using 'proper' buses not the Tecnobuses!

Yes, it will be interesting to see what operates this!

For anyone who couldn't get the link to work (a perennial problem with Merseytravel weblinks!), it is the last of the three timetables on:
