68 Peoplesbus Bootle - Aigburth New service 24 February

Peoplesbus going commercial on its 68 or the 168 just being renumbered?

It does say "new service" rather than "Renumbered 168" or "Commercialised" so it would suggest a Mon-Sat daytime service.

Looks like theres a new 52 too.

That's great news!
Hopefully they won't have so many unnecessary pages in them explaining everything under the sun ... including how to read a clock!

Timetable changes:

156 Garswood - Ashton and Ashton - St Helens run for Merseytravel by Nuttall’s
156 Downall Green - St Helens run for Merseytravel by Nuttall’s
157 Rainford - Ashton run for Merseytravel by Nuttall’s
When you download the timetable for the 156 it still shows Fairbrothers and HTL operating the 156, I was intrigued as I haven't heard of Nuttall's before!

Fairbrothers operate them services not Nuttalla aka Warrington Coachways plua 156 is Arriva and 256 ia fairbrothers
Only copying what Merseytravwl are circulating so there must be some confusion at Mann Island - then again these services are out in the sticks to them.

HTL still do the lates & Suns on the 156, Arriva are commercial on the 156 during the day & Fairbrothers do the Am tendered journeys on there. The 156 Am jouneys: 1 bus goes onto the 157 & the other goes onto the 256.

People not reading things properly again...

The "run for Merseytravel by..." Shown in the newspaper advert and online relates to the current operator of the service. In this case, it was nuttalls.
On the Travel News Update section on the Merseytravel website you then click the service number to show the timetable where you can read the full change.

Then if you actually look in the timetable you'll see who runs each trip. The little M symbol relates to a code who tells you who runs each journey.

Merseytravel have got it spot on. Television has too by reading the timetable.
Didn't help with Warrington Coachways being known as either Warrington Coachways or Nuttalls - major cause for confusion.
