Indeed all the night buses prefixed with an N are commercial in Liverpool.
Here's what's changing between 5 - 11 January 2014:

Planned changes to bus services:
55 Old Roan - Aigburth Vale run by ACE Travel
One extra Route 55 bus is introduced by ACE Travel, departing Old Roan on a Monday to Friday morning at 0535. The service runs via Scotland Road and London Road to Queen Square Bus Station, then via Liverpool ONE Bus Station and Dingle to Aigburth Vale.

E10, E11, E12 St Helens Smart Eco circulars run for Merseytravel by Selwyn's Travel
The daily frequency of all three services is reduced to every 30 minutes and the times
are changed.

Wasnt there a taxibus service introduced somewhere in liverpool at Deregulation back in the darkest days of 1986 so it isnt something entirely new .

I dont think it lasted long as there was a bit of opposition from the Hackney cab people .

Exactly 1 year than Eazibus got the 129 now A2B has got it from Sunday 26th Jan
Isnt A2B a Wirral based operation , whereas Eazibus i thought was a Liverpool based operation .

The 129 over the years has not had many different operators , usually its a a route Merseytravel gives to the incumbent operator .
