Anyone know who the new operator is on the 12 (St Helens Circular)?
It could well be Peoplesbus and the Selwyns operation was just to fulfil their existing contract duration. It'll be interesting to see anyway.
What's with the "operator change" for routes 164 and 411, these are commercial services operated by Avon Buses?
Have they given up running these two routes commercially ?
Planned changes 5th - 12th July 2014:

Planned changes to bus services
Mersey Tunnels
The following services are changing this week:
57C, 58C Bootle - Netherton run by Cumfybus
Both these services will be withdrawn from 6 July.
135, 235 Aintree - Bootle run by Cumfybus
144, 145 Bootle - Litherland run by Cumfybus
Update: Route Y1, which ran between Prescot and Cronton was withdrawn on 30 June.
What are "Special, non-standard, Merseytravel bus fares are charged on all the buses shown on this page"?
I rang up and asked today. It's the curennt commercial fare charge by the incumbent operator, in this case cumfybus on the 144 an 135 so customers won't notice any difference in fares. Obviously keeps merseytravels costs down too as they keep the fares.
Big changes on the Wirral 145 now on website.

Wonders whether this is the start of differential bus fare pricing for daytime and Evening / Sunday contract work as an experiment .
