Yet another Arriva contract gain alongside the 300 & 310. How come they can gain them in Sefton but not elsewhere.
I was told a while back that the 58 would interwork with the 56 so if correct that would mean Arriva have that also

I don't know if the fact that the depot is in Bootle is relevant but one bone of contention is that a lot of Arriva's daytime routes are operated by HTL evenings and Sundays thus preventing passengers from using Arriva weekly/monthly.annual passes. From 23rd April that will no longer be the case.

At the moment, the eve/Sun 56 is operated by HTL.
That is correct but i think the 56 went out for tender with the 58

That is the problem for a lot of people in St Helens. HTL have all the Evening & Sunday contracts in the area even though Arriva have a depot in the town.

I foolishly thought that the new Merseytravel Sunday/evening 159 and 58 services between Netherton to Bootle Strand would be timed so that it would provide 30-minute frequency. I was wrong. They virtually follow each other in both directions. If these were competing operators I could understand this but not when both services are supported by Merseytravel. Does anyone at Merseytravel ever consider such detail?
In the Sefton Bus Review changes were proposed to services on the 23rd April and most new timetables have been published by Merseytravel, but there appears to be no changes listed for Maghull Circular services 231-4, even though they were included in the Bus Review and amendments were listed. Does anyone know if these changes have been delayed/abandoned?
