Ok would you prefer Merseytravel not to produce timetables then and leave it to the operators to do themselves .
i'd Prefer Merseytravel to just hand out the Arriva timetable for the 320 it's a better more graphic guide to the route i actually don't know why they do an inferior guide??
To be honest for a while on some routes the route map finished at the Merseyside boundary , why show a detailed description of the route outside there area unless the likes of TfGM , West Lancashire or Cheshire West and Chester provide some finance .

I think that could depend on the service. There are cases where the full route is included, such as the 156 and 157 (which are produced by both Merseytravel and TfGM). But look at the 375/385 - TfGM has switched back to using/supplying the Arriva leaflet, but when they produced their own, the full route to Southport was included in the guide. Merseytravel has something that is more like an inset and is a complete waste of time.

However there are cases where TfGM lets the side down. On one hand, the Transpeak guide has a map with the full route all the way down to Derby! Yet on the other hand, the 589/590 stops at Summit with an arrow pointing up.
