They are in need of every service bus being in service or at least standing by ready for service due to service demand with "s" services etc.
His told me he is happy to over spend on his budget if it means his fleet is 100% safe for travelling passengers etc.
Engineering, as I say, I can't comment on and while I can partly understand the point. That bus from Barnsley bus looks awful and I think a few logos can't cost that much to smarten it up.
The midlands ones though have had 2 years to be smartened so it's not a recent Covid thing.

I'm currently saving to startup. I'd prefer to fund more of the venture myself rather than funding it so much by bank loans. IS that a problem? How dare anyone criticize your beloved Rock Ferry Depot. I'll praise companies where it's due and criticize when it's due. All bus companies pre Covid were heavily promoting to get people onto bus and now companies are pushing people to come back to bus. You can't push people back onto bus when some of the buses are coming out looking as poor as they do and by reducing the offering. It's counter intuitive.

Has it returned to Chester, or transferred back to Rockferry?
Noted it heading in to Chester depot around 5pm today.
36819 tracked on one of the Wrexham working 5’s today. Very rare to see anything other than a solo on a Wrexham working if this is accurate.

Enviro200's where being trialled for the Wrexham 5 to accomodate additional capacity.

How did the trial go?
Does the Wrexham section actually need additional capacity or is it just to assist social distancing?

Thanks for the reply, much appreciated. Is there any tight roads etc which would prevent anything bigger than a enviro 200 being used on there?

Sandy Lane in Huntington can be quite tight as that's where you meet the inbound bus coming in from Wrexham. There's also Sibbersfield Lane on the outskirts of Farndon than can be tight to negotiate. Especially if you meet a tractor or oil tanker.
36817 is currently on a Wrexham bound service right now.
